Hello,

I signed a 12 month lease in Accolade Apartments. We put in our 30-day notice per our lease agreement, and moved 30-days later. Upon move out we received our itemized list of charges from the move out. I have been charged 30 dollars for "touch up paint". I work for a real estate office in Nevada, and by law, normal wear and tear such as touch up paint can NOT be charged to the tenant. Also, The unit is not available for rent, and we just moved on the 15th of November. We did pay full rent for the month of November, would this count as double rent, am I entitled to a refund for the days this unit has been rented?

Did your 12 month lease end and this is the reason your provided your 30 day notice? If so, when did the lease actually end? If November 30th, you would owe for the entire month unless (as you stated) the unit has been re-rented prior to end of this month.

Touch up paint for damages above normal wear and tear is not unusual. You're going to argue over $30?
