Hello!

Is a 90 days long non-consummated marriage grounds for annulment in CT? Neither of the parties had the intention of not consummating it before entering it. The marriage was a court marriage and late to be followed up by a religious ceremony before consummating it. However, in the mean time, irreconcilable differences took place and the couple in question decided to separate. However, the man claims that it is not possible to get an annulment in CT on any grounds they can provide. So a) it is indeed not a ground for annulment or b) the marriage is consummated and the woman is trying to hide it for the fear of shame due to religious reasons. I would greatly appreciate some insight on the issue from you guys.

Thanks.

Regards.

She shouldn't be taking legal advice from her enemy but, unfortunately, the man might be right.

The following site has comprehensive information and a current guide:

Considering your description of the marriage, she may just have to resign herself to getting a divorce, which is fairly easy these days.
