need to know if I am responsible

I would like to know if I am responsibe for my 21 year old son who lives with me and does not have a drivers license but drives if he would get in to an accident and if someone was to get hurt could they suee me.

Who owns the car? Does he have insurance on his own if he owns the car? If you own the car and allow him to drive then I believe you could be held responsible.

If you let him use your car and you know he does not have a valid license, that is just stupid. Yes you can be held liable. Stop letting him use your car until he gets a license. People that do not have a valid license usually don't have one for a reason.

Of coarse it is NOT my car. I am NOT stupid. He bought it. He has no license and has no insurance and is not registered in his name as yet.
