I was caught stealing approx 1500$ over a period of a few months from my job. They caught me of course (stupidest thing ever done i know..) and fired me. Cops were called went to jail paid bond and all that good stuff. I returned every dollar of merchandise taken and filled out a statement saying all that was taken and what not. I have court in about a week to see what happens. Any idea on what to expect for a first time offense Class D felony in Missouri. Any ideas on what i can do to get the best possible sentence (no jail time) or to get this off my record if at all possible?? I have no money for a lawyer. Please any help given is appriciated. You can forget getting this off your record that isnt going to happen. You need to talk to an Attorney perhaps a plea dea can be arranged where you plead to a misdemeanor which "might" be expunged years later. You should also enrollin an Anti shoplifting course. This will show Judge your being proactive and rermorse both are always good things. I recommend the one offered by NASP.
hi, my friend just got out from his court hearing today. his 1st offense too. for the amount of $700. his story is kinda different..he didn't steal. but he got introuble for givng a huge discount.
his sentence is 25days of community service, probation(not sure for how long) and a fee for $691 and $300 sthing dollar for his court fee.
anyways we all learn lesson in a hard way...i hope god will help u solved ur problem...i mean it. i hope u do believed. almost everyday i prayed for my friend...god really do answer prayers..god bless u
