Hi im seeking for advise
I enters a competition sponsored by a pet food company. I have to work out from clues given on the labels of the dog food cans the breeds of 10dogs and send his answer to the pet food company. but i notice in very small print on the back of the labels on the tins conditions which read:' This competition is not to be legally binding. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into". I posts my answer, keeping a photocopy. When the results of the competition are published I realises that his answer was correct, but is not listed with the winners. The pet food company refuses to even discuss the matter when I rings.

regards

fiona

There was never a contract, per se.
This is/was a contest.
I suggest you discuss thus matter with a local solicitor to review your options.
I will advise you, your options appear to be few.
Although I am still licensed in as a QC in Australia, I'm sure that I'm not up enough on current Australian law to properly advise you.

As I said, speak with a local barrister or solicitor.
You never know what you might learn.
