need advice-cosigned and now no pay

i cosisgned on a auto loan and now i have to pay 1500 left. so they wont ruine my credit. the title will be in both our names, is there anyway i can get it change to just my name? i want to have the title in just my name, so i can force him to pay me. any advice would help
