Property Invasion, Damages, Trespass Need advice asap

I am a 19 year old former ferris state university student. i was away at school one day and a friend and i went to the local meijer store. while we were there she shoplifted some items and was caught by the loss prevention on our way out of the store. i had previously shoplifted from the same store but was not caught. she ended up going to jail to be further questioned by the police. later that evening an officer called to question me but i did not return his phone call. can i be prosecuted for this matter?

Of course you can be prosecuted. You have shoplifted before and were not caught. you absolutely can be arrested and charged. Although it is not your first offense it sounds like, its the first time you have been caught.

You likely face some jail time, or if lucky, probation, and you will have to reimburse the store all legal fees, and of course you will likely be banned from the store. No point in running away from this you have been caught.
