National Retail Theft Database & Future careers

So, long story short about a year ago I was fired from my retail job for internal theft. I was never arrested nor ever even saw a police officer, and they they never brought any criminal charges against me (and if I were, it would be my first offense for anything), but I have reason to believe I am on the NRTD. I agreed to pay restitution at the time of the incident, and also paid the civil demand they sent me 3 months after the incident.

I've been planning on going to a trade school to take up something like Engineering, Electrical, or possibly even plumbing. Do you think the NRTD will pose an issue for me while I try and pursue one of these careers? I understand I probably won't be able to work retail anymore which I've come to terms with, but I'm mostly concerned about the database affecting my possible future careers in these fields.

I was also considering working in a healthcare/hospital field.
Also, what jobs do you think I could currently get? I've been trying to leave all of this behind me and get a new start.
