I have a couple of questions. I declared bankruptsy a couple years ago. I just recently got married and my husband and I want to change our name to a combination of the two (Ruppert+Wilson=Russo). We were unable to do this via the marriage license and must use other means.
Two questions:
1. If he does a legal name change now from Ruppert to Russo, since we are married can I then take his new name? Or would I still have to use the name on the marriage license (Ruppert)?
2. If the above option doesn't work and I also need to legally change my name, am I able to given that I have declared bankruptsy?
Any help would be appreciate.
