Good evening. I hope that you are well.
In November of 2007 my sister and I bought a condo together. Both of our names are on the deed. The cost was $155,000. We were going half and half. She paid her entire half up front in cash and took out a loan for the remainder. I was to pay her back $750 each month to cover the cost of the mortgage.
Nothing ever in writing just an agreement. In January I was hit with some huge expenses due to some medical bills and got behind on my payment to her.
At one point I was $1500 behind and am now only $525 as I am making weekly payments to her.
She says this isnt good enough and is threatening me with legal action. She wants me to sign a quick claim deed or she will take me to court.
I am indeed doing the best I can to repay her and will continue to. Can she have me tossed out. No contract between us and like I said we are both on the deed. I am paying my share it is just taking a little time.
Thank you for any advice you can give me.
Regards,
bob thomas
