Multiple DWLR's in North Carolina

Between 1998 and 2002, I have received five DWLR's in NC. I lived a good distance from work, with no nearby public transportation, so to work, I had to drive. I always got busted and given a citation for DWLR. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I was told that the only way to get out of a DWLR is to produce a valid license, and I already had a suspended license, I couldn't get one. Therefore, it became a trickle down effect that overwhelmed me. I just want to make things right. I haven't been able to drive legally in six years, and haven't driven at all in three and 1/2. I really want my driving privileges back. Is there anything I can do that won't cost me thousands of dollars?
