Moving to Arizona

I have been divorced for 2years and currently just got remarried. I have a 4 year old child from
my previous marriage. My husband and I are planning on moving to Arizona in the coming weeks. My childs father has not excerised his visitation rights and doesn't pay child support. He has also moved in the past 3 months and I have no way of contacting him. I really don't want anything from him. I have sole custody. Do I have the right to just take my child and go. Nothing in my divorce papers say I can't go. Should I place a public notice in the local newspaper.

Before you place any notices you may also want to see whether your husband has been considered to have "abandoned" your children. You will have special rights (and he will be denied rights) as a result. I also don't know what state you are writing from so it is impossible to determine the procedure. I would advise you to seek consulation with an attorney before you move, not just on the notice issue. It's too important to ignore.
