motion to dismiss

I was the defendant in a civil complaint in superior court in NC. I filed a motion to dismiss and the attorney failed to calendar the case for 2 years. If I do not appear to defend the motion will the plaintiff automatically win the case?

I don't know the details of your case. I'm not sure why the case hasn't been put on the calendar. A case can be dismissed for failure to prosecute.
