My name comes from the ridiculous error I made: didn't read the entire contract, instead took the realtor at their word that there was a financing contingency. --there wasn't. I initially didn't receive financing for the land. When I told the seller's agent, they said, fine you're out your 10,000 deposit. I thought I was going to get my earnest money back? Is there any law requiring the seller to disclose or punishment for not disclosing? Do I have any footing here to get out or recover my loss?
 
It would appear from your posting that the information was disclosed in the contract which you didn't read before you signed it.
