I sold my mobile home to family friends. Made a mistake and sent them the signed title without them signing for the sale in front of me. The trailer is on a rental lot.
I called the trailer court to get my deposit back and they told me the new couple had not signed a lease and I wasn't entitled to my deposit until they did so.
So I called this couple, and the husband played stupid and the wife is supposed to get back to me (good luck with that, right?). Anyways from what I gather they have not even transferred the title into their name.
Therefore, this trailer is technically still mine and they are renting the lot under my name. What should I do?
I was thinking threaten them to sign the trailer over to the the trailer court if they don't get the title fixed, but I already signed the original and they are holding it, what implications does this cause? Could I legally abandon the trailer?
