Fraud, Embezzlement, Bad Checks misuse of lent credit card

I work for and elderly gentlemanduring the holidays he loaned me his credit card to do some shopping and said dont go crazy i purchased what he thought was too much and now he is saying I stole by over using his card does he have any legal grounds?
