Sex Crimes, Sex Offenders Miss sex registration in ga by one day

Greetings,

Every year before my birthday I receive a registered letter to registar as a sex offender. I have never failed to do do, This year, no letter came. My birthday is tomorrow-Sunday. This is Saturday and still no letter. I thought the letter might come Monday since it was still with in 72 hours of my birthday,. I decided to chek out the law. One part states 72 hours prior to the birthday,. I thought it was 72 hours from your birthday. One part states that in the law. I plan to go down first thing Monday Morning to register. Am I in trouble?

I have always followed every directive and sincerely thought I had 72 hours from my birthday to register.

Just go as soon as possible. They might warn you about being late, but it is not a terribly serious offense.... the fact that you still brought yourself in without the letter as soon as you realized you were due should show that you aren't blowing them off.
