I won the bid of a silent auction on a 2005 dump trailer conducted by Fulton Housing Authority. The item purchased was a 12' dump trailer that they had repeatedly misrepresented as being 14' in length to include the bill of sale. My bid of $3,250 was based on half new retail of a comparable 14' dump trailer. Half the new retail price for a comparable 12' dump trailer is $2,750 and that is what I would have bid if I had known the truth.
Is there any legal standing to recover part of the purchase price?

Consult the terms of the auction, which likely absolves them from errors and advises you to come and view the property in person to make sure it is what you want.
