Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication MIP worried about marijuana testing

I recently received an MIP in the state of Michigan. I have not yet received my court date, but I am concerned about being tested for marijuana usage either on my acutal court date or as a result of some probabtion I might request in order to receive a diversion. Do the courts try to link alcohol usage to marijuana? Is marijuana testing for proabation a standard? Can I be tested for marijuana usage without warning (i.e. showing up for court and being forced to take a urine test right away)??

Since both drinking and drug use is illegal for a you wouldnt the solution be to avoid using such substances?:no:

If your on probation you should be used to random drug tests by now. At least in Oregon they do. I have never herd of people taking UI at a court date but its not illegal to ask. But like I said, I'm surprised your probation officer doesn't make you take a UI each week. Its best to avoid that stuff anyhow. I know I used to be into it, never got me anywhere.
