Ok, so here is some background info I have no priors at all for MIP. I was given an MIP while I was at a party I was throwing. The reason I believe, I have to confirm this with the police report, that the police even stopped by my house in because there was a heavily intoxicated girl outside my house. This is the reason I did not let her into my house when she came initially I told her she couldn't come in because I didnt know her. Well the cops came in, in all their glory and questioned my friend and I as to what was going on they asked standard questions. "do you know her? what is she drinking? what kind of liquor is in the house?" All of which I did not know and was able to answer well because I had not begun to drink. I was playing host and did not want the party to get out of control. However he shined his light in my eyes, nearly blinding me, and administered a field sobriety test (one I failed, where he just moved his finger around to the sides of my eyes) he did not administer a breathalizer nor did I have alcohol anywhere NEAR me. So what I need to know is, is does anyone know what to do about this situation?? is there anyway to fight an MIP in washington state?, I was under the impression that an MIP was to be administered if the minor has alcohol on, or around me (neither of which I did). Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
