Hi, I was wondering if a minor can be held liable for credit card debt. My sister is now 20, when she was 16 she applied for a discover card and was approved for a 1,000.00 limit and went nuts. When she applied she told them she was 18 and even used her real social security number. They didnt check! so is she liable or can she dispute the debt? She now owes almost 3,000 to the collecters because stopped paying when she was 17. Please help if you know about this situation!
