My husband passed away in 2009, I have been paying payments on several hospital bills since. My husband had no medical insurance at the time of death. The hospital is now wanting the remaining balance in full or an increase in payment. I do live on Social security disability.

Fact is, your social security is judgment proof.
You can simply stop paying.
Your social security income can't be touched for the debt.
People do horrible things to other people.
It's regrettable what you've had to endure by a greedy hospital.
