Hello, I am considering the purchase of a real estate investment property which is an abandoned building. My potential partner (A General Contractor) and I are in the due diligence stage of a particular parcel of land that my have environmental issues. I had already done a Phase 1 study, which recommends a Phase 2. Before doing a Phase 2 study, do I need I setup an LLC to protect myself?
If yes, is this something I can setup myself like sites like LegalZoom and other suggest? Or should I work with an attorney?
