I just broke up with my ex, and need to find a cheap place to live until I get stable income. One of friend of my friend offered me a house that was foreclosed 4 years ago. The county database shows she still owns the property. She asked very cheap monthly "gratitude", which is very attractive to me. I don't have kids and will move out whenever the bank find out or new owner ask to leave, so it sounds like a deal.
My budget is tight and I don't have much choices now, but one concern. I'm a green card holder and need to be careful to legal troubles until I become a citizen.
What kind of trouble I might get if I moved in? (arrest by police or some charge from the bank?)

She probably doesn't own the home, if its been foreclosed on.
If I were you, I wouldn't do it.
It's called squatting, and it's illegal.
She can't lease LEGALLY what she no longer owns.
