THE SITUATION: I fell behind on my self-storage unit rent. Owner sent me Preliminary Lien Notice and placed ad in paper saying he would hold public lien sale on March 28 of this year, well after the 14 days required. All good up to now.
THE PROBLEM: I just found out (March 19) that he has already opened the container and placed some of my items outside for the public to go through, which they have. Also, some items have already been taken to the dump.
