I was caught sleeping in my car behind a house that was to be demolished. the officer issued me a citation for 2nd degree trespassing. I missed my court date and my drivers license was suspended. how can they suspend my drivers license for a non driving offence?

Your license was suspended for failure to appear in court, not for trespassing. You likely have an arrest warrant. Get your affairs in order and your license status will be restored.

Yep, sounds like you have an arrest warrant. You need to have the warrant taken care of (it will not go away) to get your license restored.
