Is it legal to call people in on thier days off work and have them unknowingly file complaints against another worker in order to have grounds to fire him/her?

Re: Legal

Ok, the full story is that I was recently fired from my job. I was informed that there were two complaints against me, but soon found out that they (management) had eight complaints and some were called in on thier days off to "work" when they files the complaints at managements request. Is this Ok? Thanks for your help so far.

I see no reason why someone at a company couldn't call you at home on your day off in the same manner as anybody else or a telemarketer. I'm not sure what the problem is but it seems more severe than a call at home.
