Arraignment, Bail, Bonds, Pretrial Legal extradition from Mexico or poss. bail exoneration?

I am a fugitive recovery agent for a Colorado Based company and we received a file on a defendant who bonded out on a Class 1 or 2 felony for weapons charges. He recently went to Mexico and will not voluntarily come to Texas to be extradited back to Colorado (would you?). I have heard but cannot confirm that it is illegal to travel to Mexico to arrest him and bring him back to face trial. If it is not legal to extradite from Mexico then wouldn't the Bondsman be exonerated from the bond? Feel free to email a response to CCLDesign@msn.com.
