In the state of Missouri, Can a lease automatically renew for another year after the first year is up? One part of the lease indicates the lease term is for Jan 02 until Jan 03. There is another part of the lease that states the lease will renew automatically every year in Jan. After that first year does something else need to be agreed upon in writing or does the original lease cover it?

Typically there are clauses that a contract will renew unless one party provides at least a certain amount of notice prior to the renewal date that the contract will not renew. If there is a lease and a second document is signed that refers to the lease and only deals with the term and refers to the specifics of the lease as the substance (other than term) then I'm not sure that there is a problem. What is the specific problem you are having?
