Lawyer quits me after questioning bill

My soon to be ex called my mother and said he recieved letter from his lawyer that my lawyer is quitting me. he has not notified me of this. I just questioned him about bill so 24,000 and he hasnt even got me child support. He has managed to choose my realator get my money in trust of him. He has charged me with his hourly rate instead of staffs for every letter ect. Now Im left with nothing. This is domestic violence case, Ive jumped through every hoop and still I see no end. I have no more money after what this lawyer has done to fight husband attorney. Has the courts forgot about what this is doing to my kids. My mental state I have anxiety attacks daily. Lawyer has me down for court date that never happened it was cancelled , maybe staff mistake .What are the rules to quitting client? And what do you think about realator and lawyer knowing each other and she denied it when I first asked her? Thank You
