I am in a one year lease that is up in two months but recently I was told by a member of the housing association that my landlord is in violation of his HOA laws by having me sign a one year lease. He is only allowed to rent the house for a six month term. My question is would I be able to legally get out from under this lease due to his legal misconduct? I have had problems with this landlord throughout the entire lease and have wanted a way out of it and thought this might be a way? Any advice would be appreciated before I look for an attorney.
