Hi everyone, I'm in a legal dilemma with a sneaky landlord. He blackmail me with keeping my rent and deposit as an excuse to have me agree to his illegal eviction. For his reason of termination was that I brought a mini refrigerator to be placed in my room. Within the contract there were no such saying that I can't have a mini refrigerator. I did not violate any term of agreement from our lease and below are recording of our conversation.
This recording is for fair use only and I do not have the consent of the landlord to record the conversation. Nonetheless hopefully for those who hear it can understand where I'm coming from.
The whole conversation is over an hour and a half long.

Below here is the lease which never been temper with. The term reach from 1-29 and the signing page is 38. during signing, I've asked the landlord why was there such a big gap and in his words he accidentally left it out and he forgot to include whatever terms in between. I had agreed to wait if he needed time to revise the lease until it's complete but he suggested that it's ok and we can continue signing. I asked him if he is sure and he responded with it's ok and we can continue signing.

The following are emails that was sent over the duration of his eviction and notice. For those that are reading this, I did not agree to any of his terms but only comply under threats of him confiscating my deposit and second month rent.

That's too much information for a legal discussion forum.
You've apparently signed an INCOMPLETE lease.
You inquired about, but took the LL's representation that signing would be okay.
Well, it isn't okay for you.
Now, you're stuck today because of what you did then.
Haste always makes waste, mate.

In the future, refuse to sign anything that's unclear, incomplete, or missing pages, incomprehensible, or onerous.

If you're being evicted, and you believe you have a defense, tell it to the judge.

This recording is for fair use only and I do not have the consent of the landlord to record the conversation.

You didn't need consent. NY is a one party consent state. As a participant in a two party conversation you only need your consent to record it.

The recording is legal to have and legal to use in court if it comes to that.

Unfortunately, your situation is way beyond the scope of this site and If you are already out you may sue for monetary damages as a result of wrongful eviction. No way to predict how that goes.
