Me and the landloards were having some personal problems that we couldn't resolve, and today Jan 8th they gave me a 30 day notice for their comercial room that I was renting from them. On the letter she also stated that I have been 7 days late wich she is charging me $50 a day total of $350, and that was their reason to ending the contract because I had breach the agreement. The notice is date Jan 8 so it will go thru Feb 8th. Which they are charging me $198 for the seven days of rent. I only have $425 deposit with them so they keeping my deposit to go towards the fees and that I still owe them a balance of $123 due today.
Since they are requesting to end the contract can they keep my deposit?
Also since this is my last month, and they had my last month rent, can they still charge me all the days of late fee?
