I entered into a land contract with my grandparents 2 years ago. This spring I gave them notice that I was forced to move due to the poor job market. I began moving 07/01/08 (700 miles away)and was unable to come back until 08/16/08. During the interim I kept them informed . I had been planning my last trip to remove the remainder of my belongings, clean the property and meet with a realator to begin the sale process. I was informed 2 days ago that my grandparents went and changed the locks on the house, preventing me from getting my belongings etc.
Can they do that? This landcontract has been legally entered into the county records.Michigan
