Last week my son 16.5 years was stopped outside Target after leaving store and he had an item value of $35.00 taken out of package with him. He immediately co-operated with the security person and did not deny wrong doing. Any how, police were called and given a notice to appear (no date set yet - to be notified) and the violation is CPC-488/484a - Pettytheft.
My son just finished 1 years probation for previous felony and charges were dismissed.
Now the big question is what to expect? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
