my landlord has issued me a notice to cease if I do not get rid of my dog. There are dogs on the premises and it doesn't state no pets in the lease. can they do this?

If you disagree with what your landlord told you, you can ignore the warning.

That'll force the landlord's hand, and he or she might bring an eviction action.

Before you say it isn't fair, no one cares.

It isn't illegal to tell you you can't have a dog, and the landlord allows his cousin to have a dog, and his sister a cat.

So, ignore the warning at your peril.

If he eventually files for eviction, you can tell it to the judge.

Do you have any idea why your dog when there are other dogs on the premises?
