I received a court date for a judgment case against me. My questions are 1.) Is it mandatory that I appear in court, and 2.) Should I get an attorney?

Thanks

If you don't appear in court, the result most likely will be a default judgment against you. Yes, you should go to court.

You do not need an attorney though there is nothing to stop you from consulting with one if you have any legal questions you want to ask an attorney.

You're certainly welcome.
