I fullfilled a 3 year commercial lease agreement in 2007 and renewed for another 5 years. I terminated early due to the economy. I closed the business. There is still 3.5 year left on the lease which is secured with a personal guarantee. The landlord is suing me for the balance of the lease because they can not rent due to the economy. I am not in a financial position to afford an attorney at this time. Is there any avenue that i can follow to get some help with this matter?
