Hello,
My husband had a credit card that was closed in 2000 or so. He settled for less than the full amount with the collection agency that the credit card company gave the account to in 2003. He recently obtained his credit report and now he has a judgment from the credit card company. The Judgment was in 2006. We have old credit reports that state that he settled for less than the full amount. What legal rights does he have? Isn't that illegal? Would that be considered breech of contract, negligence, unfair credit reporting practices or something? How are they able to sue if he settled?
Can he sue them?
Please Help!!
