the collection agent charges me some kind of fees or interest on my debt...it was around $300 in 98 but not it's over $500
i've called and asked to set up an payment plan..they refused(they said they don't accept payment)
so i asked if they can send me an bill....they said they don't send them either
they only accepts the payment through Moneygram(wire), so i asked about the information on wire, it sound it like an individual account(and she told me to call her after i send the payment)

the collection agent didn't called me...i checked my credit report and called the collection agent and i know what this debt is about, but it sounds little bogus to me...

The whole situation sounds strange. You may want to investigate the vailidity of this company, calling up the better business bureau or a local governmental authority. You may also want to dispute the amount of the debt in writing to the collector. I don't know of any collector that doesn't accept money when offered...

Why not? Is it above the prime rate? It may be mentioned in the original agreement when purchased via credit.
