Is there a statue of limatations

I would like to know if there is a statue of limitations on being sued by someone or some corporation. Its been over 8 years now and they are sueing me for money damagaes and i think its way to late to be sued for something that was supposidly dont that long ago.

It all depends upon the state and what the money damages were as a result of, as well as potentially other factor/exceptions. I find that most statutes of limitations don't last longer than 6 years, which typically include breach of contract and other matters that are the cause of common civil disputes.
