On several occasions while driving on rual roads heading towards Highway 280 (Bay Area) police coming towards me have suddenly pulled off the road. Often this is while I could easily have been doing 45 in a 35 or 40 MPH area. In all cases they are moving towards me.
Sometimes they never follow me but the fact they pull over to the side violently as if they are going to follow me makes me think they have captured my speed and want to issue a ticket. On one occasion the office pulled a hard U turn but never caught up to stop me and I never did see flashing lights ?
Can California police officers capture your speed and send a ticket in the mail to you without stopping you ?
