I have a corporation with a business partner...no assets in the corporation. We own two properties outright. I own 6 properties in my name. He has hired a lawyer and claimed we had a verbal partnership which gives him rights to all properties, including those in my name. I never agreed to give him any interest in the properties in my name (he did co-sign two of the loans of the two in my name). Our corporation was very specific about what we owned, but he did not want to purchase anything else jointly, so that's why I put the others in my name only.

He has basically filed a lis pendens against all my assets and has nothing in writing for a partnership (he claims has existed for 6 years).

Does he have any legal rights to my properties (he co-signed the notes) or the others in my name only? This is very upsetting, I have 30 days to answer the complaint and I don't trust lawyers. I have had 3 tell me 3 different stories....
