Invasion of Privacy

I have a quick question about invasion of privacy. what is the law when it comes to checking someone else's private email. Not in the business world, but personal. Like a wife or girlfriend?

Depends on weather or not you gave authorization to do so. If you gave access to your passwords etc. You have no real recourse. If it was accessed illegally, that is a different story. But try proving it.
