I need help finding out whether internet auction bids are legally binding. My brother just bid on a piece of land online and won. However, the price at which he won is suspicious and the seller asking for payment is in a totally different state from the auction website address. My brother needs to back out of this suspicious deal but the seller is now threatening to bring legal action against my brother for not paying for the land. DOes the seller actually have an enforceable case or is he just bluffing?
