Hello, I am very new and not yet educated on the stipulations of child support, although I am learning.
A few years ago I had a relationship with a man that was separated from his wife at the time. Our relationship resulted in a child. He has since reconciled with his wife. I am in the process of pursuing child support, but since I live in Nebraska and he lives in Indiana, it will take a lot longer than the typical case. He has one son at home and his wife does not work. My question is: how much of his income will be applied toward my child's support if he already supports his two (wife/son) dependents at home?
If anyone can offer any expertise on this I would appreciate it. I have looked on a couple of different websites but have not found any information regarding a situation like this. I am slowly but surely learning the ropes, so to speak.
