Hi, my husband and I are being falsely accused of child abuse neglect ect. we dealt with cps and police and the case was closed. In-laws filed in Contra Costa Co. Which we live in Shasta Co.we went to Court and they said we will have to do mediation. Couple days ago we received a letter stating that they filed guardianship in Shasta Co.my father in-law has a criminal record battery assault with a deadly weapon. How can they keep doing this?

Absent any grounds to have the court revoke custody, it won't happen no matter how many times they file and where.
Are these in-laws your husband's parents? Why do they think the children will be better off with them?
You might consider consulting an attorney about the possibility of legal action against the in-laws to put an end to this if it's possible.
