In my Grand Theft/Receipt of known stolen property case...
I was selling a computer on Ebay for someone. The buyer agreed to pick-up the computer from my home. When they arrived, they asked a few questions about the computer. I told them I did not know the answers but I would get a manual. Our phone rung. It was our neighbor telling us the police had our apartment surrounded. My fiance was trying to give me the phone because she didn't know what was going on. The police were doing a buy/bust. They said they feared their lives, that's why the raided the apt. They also opened a sealed box containing the alleged stolen computer without consent from us. Is this an illegal search?
