this is from an affidavit filled out by a sheriff. he states that upon walking his k-9 arround the vehicle twice he informs the owner that the animal responded to narcotics, but he then asks for permission to search the vechicle. When the owner says no he calls for another unit which happens to be another drug unit. Upon their arrival he to walks his dog around the vehicle twice but according to the owner neither dog does anything. Also the owner is asking for the in car video systems to be released. The officers found narcotics in the vehicle but not in the place where the search actually takes place. So Is this illegal or not? The traffic stop was for having a dealer paper plate instead of the hard tags, the car was only 2 wks old and the new tags had been applied for.
