My husband is $57K in credit card debt. These are his individual credit cards. We live in California. He is 65plus years old. He needs to file
Chapter 7. The question is: Will our home that we share as joint tennants
be affected if he files BK for these cards? I also own my own individual properties in non community property states. Wll these be affected by his BK?

I have a similar related question. In California, have already gone through bankruptcy and one small credit card creditor is disputing. The original credit card was in my wife's name only however; presumably we both benefited from the grocerices, utility bill payment etc. that were made on the card prior to the decision to file bankruptcy. I don't feel that they creditor has a leg to stand on but the courts may judge in their favor.

Would I still be held liable for any judgement for this one debt?

(Maybe our two questions could be answered jointly).
